Are you a seasoned professional in the cleaning industry with a passion for supervisory work and service development in addition to practical cleaning tasks? Porin Palveluliikelaitos is now seeking an Area Manager for a permanent position for the Herralahti service area. In this role, you will be a key contributor in building our new line management system. As an Area Manager, your actions will have a significant impact on both staff well-being and service quality. You will operate as a working supervisor participating in cleaning work at the city center swimming hall, meaning you will be close to your team. Your areas of responsibility include: - Diverse sites: City center swimming hall, Meri-Pori swimming hall, the sports house, and the catering and cleaning services of Kuninkaanhaara school. - Overall responsibility: You are responsible for the cost-efficiency, quality, and stakeholder cooperation of your sites. - Staff support: You will play a significant role in maintaining your team's occupational well-being and supporting professional growth. - Development: You will advance the services of Palveluliikelaitos as part of a modern and renewing organization. What do we expect from you? We are looking for a visionary who understands current requirements in the cleaning industry and enjoys leading people. - Education: A suitable degree in the cleaning industry (e.g., cleaning technician, specialist vocational qualification in the field, or a UAS degree). - Experience: Evidence of successful supervisory work and strong knowledge of the cleaning industry. - Digital skills: Good IT skills are essential for modern financial and operational management. Considered an advantage: - Knowledge of the catering sector. - Experience with the cleanliness of swimming pools and wet rooms. - Hygiene passport and the possibility of using your own car. Start date: 1.10.2026 or by agreement. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period. Working hours: 38.25 h/week. Mon-Sun between 06:00-23:00 according to the needs of the sites.
