You will work in the emergency department as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patient volumes vary between approximately 30–50 patients depending on the day and time, making the work diverse and educational. As an emergency duty officer, you do not need to round on the acute ward during weekends or holidays. Consultation support is always available, and in acute situations, the ward contacts the consulting or operational primary duty officer directly. SHIFTS AND FLEXIBILITY IN DAILY LIFE Shifts are available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
