Orimattila city’s education department announces a fixed-term position for a basic education substitute teacher from 1 September 2026 to 5 June 2027. The teaching subject is mother tongue and literature. Join a work community that values your efforts. Erkon yhteiskoulu will consist of about 430 students in the lower secondary and about 160 students in upper secondary for the 2026-2027 school year. Your closest colleagues will be four mother tongue and literature teachers (one in upper secondary, two in basic education, and one common). In our school, pupils are supported by guidance counsellors, special education teachers, and school support staff, as well as a school social worker and a youth worker. There are five special classes and JOPO class in our school. We expect the chosen candidate to have the ability and willingness to collaborate constructively with other teachers and school support staff. Good cooperation and interpersonal skills are essential to the success of the role. The eligibility requirements for vacancies follow the decree on qualifications of personnel in education (986/98). Salaries and other terms of employment are determined according to OVTES. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with law 504/2002 within 30 days of notification of the selection decision. The job includes a two-month trial period.
