We are now looking for a practical nurse for a fixed-term employment period from 1.9.26-31.12.2026. Welcome to Rinnekodit Vehka! Vehka offers 24-hour enhanced service housing for 21 adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum clients. Additionally, Vehka offers community living for 5 people. The unit's operations emphasize community and Green Care. These are visible in Vehka's daily activities, in both everyday life and celebrations. Our community includes clients, the multidisciplinary Vehka work team, as well as clients' relatives and other close people. With this warm-hearted and unified community, we are able to organize unforgettable celebrations, moments of togetherness, and we can also speak openly about all the difficult things that come up. The operation of the home is based on strong knowledge of intellectual disability and the autism spectrum. As a service provider, Rinnekodit Vehka bases its operations on supporting a good and individual life and recognizing the value of every life. Task and its goals: As a practical nurse, you are in a key role in identifying the individual needs of clients and ensuring quality care. You work with a professional approach, respecting the client's right to self-determination and meeting them appreciatively. Your work includes, among other things, basic care, medication, rehabilitative care and guidance. You also support clients physically in daily activities. We offer good orientation and various trainings to ensure smooth work. We expect from you: a practical nurse's degree and Suosikki registration of the License and Supervision Agency or final stage of studies; a social and health care professional card (Kanta certificate card) or readiness to acquire the card during the probation period; readiness to demonstrate medication skills by completing a medication permit within four months of starting employment; readiness for three-shift work; basic Finnish language skills needed for recording and meeting clients; vaccine protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. We check the criminal record extract of the person selected for the task in the manner intended by legislation (Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care) before concluding the employment contract. The criminal record extract must not be older than six months.
