System Engineer

We are looking for a System Engineer to join the Tornio factory's Automation L2 team in the factory services. The role involves working with production-critical information systems, taking part in developing systems and future solutions, and contributing to significant development and investment projects in an industrial environment. You will collaborate closely with production, development, IT, external suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure high availability, reliability and continuous improvement of systems in a critical industrial setting. You will be responsible for system maintenance, development, changes and uptime; lifecycle planning and implementation of systems and infrastructure together with other parties; technical design, implementation and deployment of new information-system projects; coordinating and ensuring quality of subcontractor work. We expect a suitable technical education (e.g., Information Technology Engineering AMK or DI), experience from industrial automation or information systems, project-based work experience, and fluent Finnish and English. You should be proactive, solution-oriented and enjoy solving technical challenges. Knowledge of programming (e.g., C/C#), SQL, MS SQL and Oracle environments, and server application environments is valued.
