Job Description

As the Head Chef at Sodexo in Espoo's Keilaranta, you are a professional and cheerful chef who brings smiles to customers. You are passionate about food and organized in your work, which is reflected in your cooking style. You belong to a large team but will also work independently. Your role allows you to plan your own work and influence the food products. You will be supported by a regional head chef and other supervisors. Sodexo is responsible for high-quality hospitality services in a separate reception restaurant and catering services in the region's restaurants. What your work involves: Preparing high-quality hot and cold lunch and reception dishes. Guiding and organizing kitchen staff with a coaching approach, supported by a regional head chef and restaurant supervisor. Participating in menu planning. Quality control (self-monitoring, product knowledge, tasting dishes). Administrative tasks (e.g., inventory counting, reporting figures to supervisors). Using production control systems and ordering raw materials is part of your duties. Customer service is also part of your work. What we expect from you: You have relevant education (e.g., chef, large-scale cook, kitchen master) and strong experience in preparing tasty lunch, à la carte, and reception foods. Experience in supervising staff. Knowledge of special diets. Ability to use various IT programs; Windows programs are familiar to you. Good teamwork and communication skills. Friendly and professional attitude in team work and customer service. Attention to detail and skill in presenting products attractively.
