The competence center's relief staff cover the immediate and short-term substitution needs of Muonio's nursing units. Expertise is expanded in a controlled manner as needed, and necessary orientation is provided for all units. Relief staff have pre-planned shifts, according to which different units book employees. We implement community-based shift planning in our units, making it easy to balance work and leisure. Eligibility requirements for the position are a degree as a practical nurse or a previous vocational degree in the field, as well as registration in JulkiTerhikki and/or JulkiSuosikki (Regional State Administrative Agency). Sami language skills are considered a special merit. The terms of employment are determined according to the Sote agreement. The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period. Before starting the position, a criminal record extract must be presented in accordance with Section 28 of the Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Health Care. Regarding staff vaccination protection, we follow the vaccination protection required by the Occupational Health and Communicable Diseases Act.
