Pikatukku Worker

The Wihuri Metro-Tukku Kajaani, a wholesale company specialized in the restaurant sector, is seeking a fast and customer-oriented part-time pikatukku worker for the meat and fish department in a temporary position. As a pikatukku worker in the meat and fish department you will be responsible for generally the pikatu’ku tasks as well as duties specific to your department. Working hours are primarily Mon–Fri, on average 32 hours per week. The position is a fixed-term maternity leave replacement from 1 Sep 2026 to 3 Oct 2027. The pay follows the Trade Union Agreement for Logistics Workers. Work is done both in a team and independently. It is mid-heavy warehousing work with a substantial amount of handling of products on your shift. Your tasks in the department include: managing product assortment in line with strategy when selecting products; arranging product displays, department appearance, and visibility of campaigns; participating in onboarding of staff and ensuring staff competencies; assisting with warehouse management and control tasks for the department; possibly covering for other department heads during their vacations according to an agreed plan; other tasks as assigned by the employer. You will succeed in the role if you have: experience in similar tasks; good product knowledge for your department’s product groups; understanding of the specifics of restaurants and/or wholesale trade; being systematic, precise, and proactive; good interpersonal skills and ability to work with the wholesale’s stakeholders; willingness to take on challenges, solve problems, and adapt to a changing work environment; proactive and cheerful customer service attitude; desire to develop in wholesale tasks in diverse ways; good IT skills.
