Tourism Intern

In accordance with the new development program for Helsinki tourism and events 2026-2029, our goal is to accelerate the year-round growth of tourism, extend the length of stay, increase Helsinki's international attractiveness with themes of happiness and ensure that the city is a growth-supporting partner. We are looking for an open-minded and proactive intern for the tourism and destination services unit. You are interested in, among other things, sustainable and regenerative tourism, management by knowledge and communication. Your task is to participate diversely and broadly in the unit's various tasks such as communication, maintenance of statistics, conducting tourist interviews, organizing events as well as brainstorming and advancing development measures. Depending on your own interest, we can agree on a special section for which you take responsibility for advancing. In addition, you will get to know project activities. We also offer you the opportunity to do a thesis together on an agreed topic. We also offer the possibility of partial remote work. Our modern workspaces, built according to circular economy principles, are located in the heart of Kamppi with excellent transport connections. Length of internship about 6 months and start in September. The exact start and end date of the internship will be agreed with the selected person. Eligibility requirement for the position: You are studying tourism at a university of applied sciences or a university, and you have completed at least two years of studies. The internship is part of your studies and you will receive credits for the internship.
