Start your career in Tax & Legal We are present in 18 locations across Finland and Estonia. We are looking for Tax & Legal Trainees to join our teams either in Helsinki, Turku or Oulu. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in versatile assignments. We are looking for trainees, for example, to the following services: M&A Tax, M&A Legal, Corporate Tax, International Tax, Legal Services, People Services, VAT, Tax Compliance, Tax & Legal Technology, and Tax Transformation. Please indicate in your cover letter which of these are interested in working with, although the role can be a combination of several areas and the work tasks will vary. You will become part of KPMG’s Tax & Legal practice, working alongside top experts in business law and taxation. In Tax & Legal, you’ll join a team of over 250 professionals in Finland and Estonia, collaborating both locally and globally. Your trainee period can start flexibly during 2026 and last from a couple of months up to six months, depending on your availability. As a Tax & Legal Trainee you will Depending on your background and interests, your role may include a mix of the following: - Handling a variety of diverse legal assignments for our clients and providing support in legal matters - Working on corporate and restructuring arrangements and M&A process from planning through to execution - Carrying out assignments related to real estate law, data privacy and family wealth planning - Managing a wide range of tax-related assignments for our corporate clients, including advance tax rulings, appeal processes, and tax return matters - Assisting in personnel tax matters and mobility processes Your role can be tailored based on your prior experience and interests across different areas of law and/or taxation. What we’re looking for - You are a university student (typically 3rd–5th year) or a recent graduate - Law students (LL.M.) for Legal roles - Relevant studies in tax, law, or business for Tax roles - Strong English skills, both written and spoken; in some roles, fluent Finnish skills are also required - Interest in business-oriented advisory work - Previous experience is a plus, but not required - Most importantly: a proactive, curious, and positive attitude Why KPMG?
