We are looking for a leading psychologist for the Mood Disorder Services of Helsinki Psychiatry for a permanent employment starting October 1, 2026 or by agreement. Mood disorder services are produced at four regional clinics in Kalasatama, Laakso, Malmi and Vuosaari, as well as at the Neuropsychiatry clinic, the Bipolar Disorder Research and Treatment Center, the Day Unit and two mood disorder wards at Aurora Hospital. About 30 psychologists and two leading psychologists work in the service. As a leading psychologist, professional supervisory work includes leading the client work of psychologists and supporting the competence and well-being of employees. You will plan and develop psychological treatment forms as well as assessment and research practices, ensuring the quality of treatment, assessment and research and the timeliness and optimal targeting of expertise. Success in the position requires knowledge of the operating principles of specialized psychiatric care and knowledge of the working methods of multidisciplinary work groups. We expect good cooperation skills from you, the ability to consider and manage several different entities simultaneously and readiness for mobile work in operating points located in different parts of Helsinki. Eligibility requirement: Master of Psychology (higher university degree) and licensing in Finland. Language requirements are good oral and written skills in Finnish and satisfactory oral skills in Swedish. The position requires vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate according to Section 55. In addition, we require previous work experience from specialized psychiatric care. Experience working with mood disorder and neuropsychiatric patients is considered an advantage. In addition, specialist psychologist training, psychotherapist training and previous supervisory experience are considered an advantage.
