Personal Assistant

A personal assistant is sought for a 26-year-old woman using a wheelchair in Paltaniemi, Kajaani. The role involves assisting with daily activities such as outdoor activities, transfers, dressing, running errands in town, hygiene, and toilet visits, as well as walking the dog together. I have a cat and a dog, so please take this into account if you have allergies. I am flexible and have a sense of humor, and previous assistants have said that it has been pleasant to work with me. The applicant is expected to have basic good physical condition, as the work includes, for example, adjusting my posture, walking, and occasionally visiting places where you may need to help lift over thresholds or transfer to a care table. Training on the use of assistive devices will be provided, and transfers are done with the help of assistive devices. The work is part-time, making it suitable, for example, for a student. The employment is valid until further notice. The probationary period is four (4) months. There are 45 hours of work available per month. Working hours can be agreed upon flexibly, for example, twice a week for five hours at a time. I also take the assistant's schedule into account. No previous training or experience is required. The position will be filled once a suitable applicant is found. The work can start as early as August 17, 2026, but the start date will be agreed upon flexibly.
