About the role

Our client is a long-established electrical company that carries out demanding electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in marine and industrial environments. The company emphasizes strong professionalism, high-quality workmanship, and practical problem-solving. We are now looking for an experienced MARINE ELECTRICIAN for a permanent position in Tornio. As a marine electrician, you will work on the maintenance, repair, and installation of ship electrical systems. The work may include, for example, fault location, renovation of electrical systems, replacement of components, and the implementation of new installations. The tasks are often challenging and require strong expertise in the electrical field. Up-to-date electrical drawings or other documentation are not always available for older vessels, so problems must be solved on-site through investigation, measurement, and deduction. We are looking for a professional with experience in demanding electrical tasks and the ability to make independent decisions. The role also includes documentation and reporting of the work performed. WE EXPECT FROM YOU The position requires appropriate electrical education and strong practical experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or repair work. Previous experience in marine electricity or working in a marine environment is considered a significant advantage. We especially value: * strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * an independent, responsible, and thoughtful approach to work * the ability to interpret electrical drawings and determine system functions even without ready documentation * careful documentation and reporting skills * willingness to work in varying and occasionally challenging conditions. For this position, you need fluent skills in Finnish or Swedish, as well as sufficient English language skills. English is required for technical materials, documentation, and communication within the work environment. WE OFFER YOU We offer a permanent and versatile job involving demanding electrical engineering tasks, a competitive salary, and the opportunity to utilize and develop your professional skills. You will have appropriate tools and the support of an experienced work community. In this role, you will solve various technical challenges, and no two workdays are the same. INTERESTED? Send your application and CV as soon as possible. In your application, describe your education, work experience, and your experience with marine electricity, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving. Work begins as agreed.
