In the position of the Embedded Software Design Engineer at u-blox you will be responsible for the heart of u-blox’s cutting edge positioning devices. With your practical experience in embedded computing and sound background knowledge in the domain of geodesy, mathematics or physics you will be a specialist for dedicated GNSS software applications running on power- and performance-optimized ARM processors. With your expertise in the field of embedded systems as integrated in our GNSS module devices you will be continuously developing and refining embedded algorithms and strategies. The role can be located in Espoo or Tampere, Finland. Your Responsibilities - Take part in the complete development process which includes design and specification, implementation, integration and verification of embedded receiver firmware - Create technical documentation for developed functional blocks and features - Implementation of new features according to a requirement specification and project plan, along with test coverage implementation - Assistance in definition and verification phase of new features - Analysis of feedback or nonconformities - Root-cause analysis of defects - Providing workarounds and development of bug fixes Your Skills and Experience - BSc. or M.Sc.
