About the role

The Technical Associate for Financial Sector Mobilization will be part of the Directorate of International Forums and Sustainable Finance of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), responsible for promoting and coordinating International Cooperation actions within the framework of Sustainable Finance Mobilization. Responsibilities: 1. Support SHCP in articulating the climate finance module of the Country Platform for resource mobilization and integration with Plan Mexico and sustainable infrastructure. - Provide technical and operational support to SHCP in organizing, monitoring, and systematizing activities related to the Country Platform. - Support preliminary identification of projects, sectors, and investment opportunities consistent with NDC measures. - Collect and systematize technical and public policy information, including infrastructure initiatives, sectoral risks, and de-risking needs. - Contribute to working materials and briefing notes on how NDC investments align with economic development and competitiveness goals. - Facilitate integration of technical information from key sectors (energy, transport, water, industry, etc.) into the Country Platform. 2. Coordination with actors: - Support logistics and technical preparation of meetings and workshops. - Draft minutes, agreement matrices, and follow-up documents. - Manage information repositories and document bases. - Identify and systematize relevant national and international financial actors. - Prepare technical inputs (presentations, briefs) for meetings with investors. 3. Support for policy de-risking: - Compile documentation on regulations, incentives, and sectoral programs. - Systematize barriers identified in technical reviews and workshops. - Prepare synthesis notes on regulatory inconsistencies or gaps. 4. Support for financial de-risking: - Collect information on existing financial instruments (guarantees, insurance, blended finance, green credits). - Systematize inputs from financial actors (banks, export credit agencies). - Elaborate executive summaries of investment cases and mitigation mechanisms. 5. Generation of reports and technical documents: - Elaborate presentations, analysis notes, and short reports for SHCP, SEMARNAT, and UNDP. - Update project progress reports, calendars, and tracking matrices. - Document best practices and lessons learned for the replicable pilot.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 7 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (Economics, Public Policy, Climate Finance) with 4 years of experience
  • Experience with climate policy frameworks in Mexico
  • Experience collecting and systematizing technical information on climate finance, public investment, or sustainable infrastructure
  • Experience preparing technical inputs, presentations, and briefing notes with clear and precise writing
