Category Manager

As Global Category Manager Components you will have global and company-wide responsibility for shared spend of Radio Frequency (RF), Passive and other components categories. You will drive 20-50% of the cost structure of module cost and be responsible for strategic planning, steering, escalation and controlling of suppliers and the spend of assigned categories. This role reports to the Head of Sourcing and is available in Athens, Greece. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute category and supplier strategies, roadmaps, and targets aligned with company objectives. - Manage the component sourcing and release process, including supplier selection, evaluation, classification, and development. - Deliver cost savings, purchasing synergies, and supply base optimization initiatives. - Drive supplier performance improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and innovation. - Support Design-to-Cost initiatives through cost-optimized component and sourcing solutions. - Ensure effective category procurement operations through performance monitoring, controlling, and reporting. Profile - +5 years in strategic or project sourcing / hardware engineering within the electronic industry. - Technical knowledge preferred. - Educational background in engineering or supply chain management. - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Familiarity with digital procurement tools. - EU/EFTA citizen or holder of a valid work permit for Greece.
