Process Development Manager, TFS-Series Lead advanced ALD process development at the forefront of thin film innovation. Beneq is looking for a Process Development Manager to join our Advanced ALD Business Unit in Espoo, Finland. In this role, youll lead and contribute to advanced ALD process development activities supporting our research and semiconductor customers worldwide. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining approximately 80% process development work and 20% team leadership and coordination. You will manage a small team of two Process Development Engineers while remaining deeply involved in experimental work, process optimization, and customer-driven development projects. Your Role As a Process Development Manager, you will lead and execute ALD process development activities focused on developing new and optimized thin film processes for advanced applications and customer needs. What Youll Be Doing * Develop and optimize ALD processes in laboratory and cleanroom environments * Lead process development projects for research ALD customers * Lead and support a small team of two Process Development Engineers and one Equipment Engineer * Coordinate project priorities, schedules, and resource planning * Conduct process characterization, analysis, and optimization activities * Maintain thorough process documentation, measurements, and reporting * Act as a technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders * Drive continuous improvement of process development methodologies and practices * Support development of new process capabilities and application areas What Were Looking For * MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or another relevant field * Strong understanding of ALD, thin film deposition, or related technologies * Hands-on experience in process development and experimental work * Industry experience in thin film, vacuum coating, semiconductor, or other high-tech manufacturing environments * Experience with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DoE), and process optimization * Familiarity with thin film characterization and measurement methods * Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams * Strong communication and customer interaction skills * Excellent English language skills Nice to Have * Previous experience in team leadership or project coordination * Experience in high-tech industries * Knowledge of process simulations or data analysis tools * Customer-facing experience in technical environments * Experience working in cleanroom environments Why Join Beneq?
