Vocational Instructor

We are seeking a vocational instructor for property services for a fixed-term position at Ammattiopisto Lappia in Tornio. The vocational instructor works with students of property maintenance and collaborates closely with the subject teacher. The job description includes supporting and guiding students in their studies: providing personal support and guidance in various study-related situations, guiding groups, and acting as a partner to the teacher. The work involves both independent guidance of students and teamwork with the vocational teacher. The role also includes other tasks related to the site's operations and student well-being in support of the teachers. We require the applicant to have a vocational qualification in property maintenance, as well as work experience in property maintenance tasks, such as yard maintenance, building technology, and general maintenance, repair, and service tasks. A minimum of a category B driver's license, experience in guidance work, experience working with people with immigrant backgrounds, and good professional networks are considered advantages. The position will be filled as soon as a suitable applicant is found, and the employment will last until May 21, 2027. The salary and terms of employment are determined in accordance with the Municipal General Civil Servants and Employees Collective Agreement (KVTES). Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a document in accordance with Act 504/2002 regarding suitability for working with minors, and a health certificate for pre-employment medical examination at the start of employment. The position is subject to a 4-month probationary period. Work, degree, and other certificates are to be presented during a possible interview.
