Engine Automation Engineer with the main responsibility of engineering solutions for customer engines. This permanent position is part of the R&D and Engineering organization, located in Vaasa, Finland. We offer interesting work and opportunities to contribute to the development of operations. Your work will focus on engine automation expert work, creating and testing configurations, supporting production and commissioning, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You should have English and Finnish or Swedish language skills, a technical degree (MSc or BSc in electrical/automation engineering), and experience with internal combustion engines. Job Details
Responsibilities
- Act as engine automation expert for defined engine types
- Create and test engine automation software configurations for customer delivery projects and maintain related databases and documentation
- Support engine production and engine factory testing in advanced troubleshooting of engine automation systems
- Take part in the execution of customer projects through correspondence and participation in meetings with internal stakeholders and sub-suppliers
- Coordinate and supervise design and deliveries from sub-suppliers
- Support and assist with the commissioning at the customer sites
- Provide technical support for our sales- and supply management organizations regarding engine automation
- Participate in development projects and cooperate with other expert teams in engine performance, engine design, software development and technical service
Requirements
- Fluency in verbal and written English
- Finnish or Swedish proficiency
- Technical education (MSc or BSc in electrical/automation engineering)
- Experience with internal combustion engines and automation systems
