We are currently seeking a specialist for a permanent official position to join our development-oriented and enthusiastic team. The position is located within the personnel structure of the City of Kerava, which serves as the responsible authority, specifically in the employment services unit of approximately 68 employees responsible for implementing the statutory services belonging to the employment authority. The specialist's role is situated in the Common Services work unit, which is responsible for the service process of corporate and employer services as well as guidance. As a specialist, you will operate at the employer interface, with your core task being the serving of corporate and employer customers. You will collaborate with other corporate and employer services specialists and corporate coordinators, employers, other authorities, service providers, and partners. Additionally, guiding starting entrepreneurs is part of your role. You will contact and support employers in recruitment and implement job placement (e.g., candidate searches, job advertisements, work trial placements, wage subsidy placements). A significant part of the role involves preparing decisions regarding start-up grants and wage subsidies. As an employment services specialist, you are responsible for performing your duties in accordance with the law, equality, and good administration. The goal is to fill open job opportunities quickly and with quality, either directly or through support measures. The role includes developing service processes together with corporate coordinators and other specialists. You will be surrounded by a work community with diverse expertise. Success in the position requires: - Knowledge of public employment services and related legislation - Understanding of various employment-promoting measures and services - Customer service skills and understanding of employer and corporate services as well as corporate cooperation - Good adaptability to change and a solution-oriented attitude - Excellent interaction, cooperation, and networking skills, as well as work community skills Experience in making start-up grant and/or wage subsidy decisions is considered an advantage. We continuously develop our service, so we hope that your work is guided by a service-minded and developmental approach. The eligibility requirement for the specialist position is a suitable university degree OR a corresponding previous educational degree and suitable work experience of at least five (5) years. Language requirements include good oral and written skills in Finnish. Proficiency in English and Swedish is considered an advantage. The position-specific level salary is €3,482.68 + additions according to KVTES. Working hours are 36.25 h/week. The probationary period in the position is six (6) months. A person selected for a permanent official position is required to provide an acceptable health certificate. Our unit has a good community spirit and an enthusiastic atmosphere. In a personnel survey conducted this spring, which had a response rate of 90%, the well-being index was 4.06 and the supervisor work index was 4.02 (on a scale of 1-5). The eNPS index, which indicates how likely employees are to recommend the City of Kerava as an employer, was 44.
