We are seeking a Workshop Manager for our client Blue Cargo Oy for a permanent, full-time position in Leppävirta! Do you have a strong background in servicing and repairing heavy vehicles or heavy machinery, and would you like to take more responsibility for running a workshop’s everyday operations? In this role, you can make use of your technical expertise, lead daily work and ensure that jobs, people and schedules remain under control. This is a varied role combining practical knowledge of workshop work, work organisation and supervisory responsibility. Blue Cargo Oy is a Finnish family business and a versatile logistics operator with more than 30 years of experience in construction-industry transport. The company provides a comprehensive range of transport, lifting, installation, warehousing and project services, as well as solutions for demanding special transports in Finland and Scandinavia. The workshop maintains and repairs Blue Cargo’s own fleet and also serves external heavy-vehicle customers. What does the work involve? As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the workshop and ensure that jobs proceed as planned and in the right order. You will act as the mechanics’ supervisor, organise daily work and manage the overall picture for work on both the company’s own fleet and external customers’ vehicles. The work is mainly supervisory and office-based, but when needed you can also pick up tools and participate in maintenance and repair work. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00–16:00. Your duties include: - Planning and organising the workshop’s daily operations - Directing the mechanics’ work and acting as their supervisor - Scheduling maintenance and repair work - Liaising with customers and the organisation - Coordinating matters relating to repairs, spare parts and vehicles - Participating in practical installation, maintenance and repair work when needed What do we expect from you? We are looking for someone who knows the everyday realities of workshop work and is ready to take the next step into a more responsible role. Previous experience in work supervision or supervisory roles is an advantage but not essential.
