Educational Instructor

Come be a colleague in basic education! We are looking for an EDUCATIONAL INSTRUCTOR for a sustainable fixed-term position on 19.12.2026. The position is located at Tikan School, and you will also work at Nenäinniemi Daycare School. It is possible to continue in the position from 7.1. to 5.6.2027. Tikan School is located 5 km from the center of Jyväskylä, with good transport links. Grades 1-6 operate in the school. Administratively, Nenäinniemi Daycare School also belongs to Tikan School, where five basic education groups in grades 1-4 study. In total, there are about 450 students in Tikan and Nenäinniemi schools. Our schools have about 43 staff members. The educational instructor works at the individual, group, and class level. The educational instructor participates in the school's student welfare work and supports teachers in educational work, acting in cooperation with guardians and various stakeholders. At the center of the educational instructor's task is the promotion of students' schooling, learning, growth, development and overall well-being and the prevention of difficulties together with the school and student welfare staff and guardians. The eligibility requirement is a university degree suitable for the task (e.g. socionomi, community pedagogue). The task requires good interaction and cooperation skills and a flexible approach. You have expertise in the development of emotional and interaction skills. We consider expertise and/or experience in acting as an educational instructor as an advantage. The terms of the employment relationship are determined in accordance with the General Municipal Civil Servants and Government Employees' Collective Agreement (KVTES). Weekly working time 35h/week. Task-specific salary in a full-time position 2848.69 €/month. In addition, we pay a work experience supplement according to KVTES, which is a maximum of 8% of the task's level salary depending on previous work experience. Start in the task according to the agreement. The person selected for the task must, before accepting the task, present a criminal record extract as intended by the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), which must not be older than 6 months.
