Sasky Mänttä Region Education Centre is a multidisciplinary vocational educational institution employing approximately 75 people, with around 750 students. You will become part of an expert work community that collaborates and develops vocational education effectively and with a student-centered approach. We are seeking a competent full-time hourly teacher in the aircraft industry for a permanent official position starting October 1, 2026. The duties of the hourly teacher include teaching modules of the basic qualification in aircraft maintenance, with a primary focus on electrical engineering modules. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and assessment of teaching in cooperation with other teaching staff. In addition to teaching and guidance, your role includes duties as a supervising teacher and guiding the acquisition of competence in the workplace. You will fit well into our team if you have cooperation skills, initiative, and a willingness to develop new things. In addition to professional expertise, you will succeed with good interaction and teamwork skills. The position is located at Sasky Mänttä Region Education Centre. The selected candidate is required to have good oral and written skills in Finnish. We expect from you: - Strong expertise in the modules to be taught, emphasizing electrical engineering. - Mastery of EWIS training at both theoretical and practical levels. - Knowledge of aircraft data systems, avionics and navigation systems, electrical systems, and the equipment used for testing them. - Knowledge of automation technology, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - At least three years of practical experience in industry-related roles. The selected person must have pedagogical teacher studies covering 60 ECTS credits or 35 study weeks in accordance with the qualifications for a vocational module teacher (Section 13), a suitable higher education degree, and at least three years of practical experience in industry-related roles. The terms of the official relationship are determined by the collective agreement for municipal sector teaching staff (OVTES, Section C). The salary is based on the selected person's qualifications, education, and experience. The basic salary for a full-time, qualified hourly teacher with a suitable higher education degree is 3,560.02–4,427.95 euros/month, based on the length of relevant work experience. In addition to the basic salary, a position-specific supplement and possible supplements according to the official agreement are paid. The position follows the annual working time according to OVTES. The calculated annual working time for a full-time hourly teacher at the start of the service relationship is approximately 1,200 hours. The annual working time for a full-time hourly teacher may vary between 800 and 1,500 hours annually. The annual working time is confirmed on a calendar-year basis. The position has a six (6) month probationary period. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract necessary for clarifying the criminal background of those working with children according to Act 504/2002, which must not be older than six (6) months. The selected candidate must submit a medical certificate regarding their state of health within one month of the start of the service relationship.
