Oncologist

Lapin hyvinvointialue is seeking a permanent specialist physician in oncology to join a close-knit team. The unit includes two permanent oncologists and a trainee, with a palliative care centre managed by a chief physician with palliative medicine qualification. We treat solid tumors and lymphomas, and offer a broad oncology service with rapid adoption of new cancer therapies. There is strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary collaboration with surgery and other specialties, as well as university hospital and regional primary care partners. The role may include some remote work. Start date is 1 January 2027 or by agreement; salary and terms follow the Medical Agreement. Six-month probation applies. An opportunity for remote work is possible. Qualification requires legal authorization to practise medicine and a suitable specialty degree; experience in roles requiring specialist qualification is valued.
