Manuaalikoneistaja / On-site-koneistaja. We are looking for an experienced manual machinist for our client in Raahe who enjoys versatile tasks and is willing to work both in the workshop and at customer production facilities. The job mainly involves manual machining at the company’s own hall, but it also includes on-site machining, i.e., machining, repair and refurbishment tasks at customers’ production sites. The role offers variety as you solve practical challenges where machines and equipment are in use. In this role you will utilize your skills on lathes, milling machines and other manual machines. The job requires accuracy, reading drawings, and the ability to work independently in different environments. The work environment is modern and safe, and operations are guided by quality, responsibility and good cooperation. We offer a permanent, long-term position in our client’s service, varied tasks both in-house and at customer sites, opportunities to develop skills in demanding on-site machining, a skilled and encouraging team, appropriate tooling and a safe work environment. We expect: experience in manual machining or metal industry training, good ability to read drawings and understanding of dimensional accuracy, solid handling of measuring instruments, proactive and responsible work attitude, ability to work independently or as part of a team, willingness to travel to customer sites, B-class driving licence to move between sites. Working hours: primarily daytime shifts, with a later shift possible with fewer staff; willingness to occasional evening work is an advantage. Salary is determined by skills and experience.
