Practical Nurse

How does starting the year with a new job sound? We are looking for a practical nurse for a full-time substitute position in a unit for severely disabled persons located in Riihimäki. The start date would be immediately or in July 2026, according to your preference. The duration of the substitution would be through the summer until September. There is also a possibility to continue after September based on the unit's needs. Job Description: The target is located in Riihimäki. The building contains units for both intellectually disabled and severely disabled persons. This substitution is in the unit for severely disabled persons (neurological and physical), and the activities consist of physical nursing care similar to a hospital environment. In this role, you will work with varied tasks and utilize your expertise in basic care and guidance. The unit provides housing and care services for disabled persons, whose daily lives are supported with a rehabilitative approach. The work is a 2-shift rotation across the full week (Mon-Sun), and full working hours are available. Requirements: You can be a graduated practical nurse with Valvira registration. We especially value the ability to work independently and strong interaction skills. You should also have valid medication permits or the readiness to complete them. We hope you have experience working with disabled persons. The selected employee is required to have vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act and a hygiene passport for working in client and patient facilities. Due to a change in the law, those working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act. This is required for the selected person in substitutions lasting over three months. We Offer: This role offers a substitution in a pleasant environment.
