We are looking for a responsible and proactive Instructor for a permanent position in community housing for people with intellectual disabilities at Peltolampi in Koivisto! If you are passionate about meaningful work and want to help enable a high-quality daily life for people with intellectual disabilities, you may be the professional we are looking for. We are a significant and strongly local social services provider. We work with elderly people, people with intellectual disabilities, families with children, and youth. We operate as a social enterprise, and our goal is to produce social good responsibly and sustainably. We have over 250 professionals in our service, and a large number of volunteers participate in our activities. What does the instructor's role involve? As an instructor, you support and guide our residents in a personalized and meaningful daily life. The instructor's duties include supporting residents' well-being, strengthening inclusion, and enabling meaningful leisure time and a smooth daily routine. The instructor's tasks also include supporting functional capacity and health, care duties, medication administration, recording and documentation, as well as home care tasks. What do we hope for from you? We expect suitable education for the instructor position (at least a vocational qualification in social and health care), genuine caring, a responsible attitude, and good interaction skills. You must have completed the theoretical exam required for medication administration or be willing to take the exam immediately at the start of employment. We require a hygiene passport and fluent oral and written expression in Finnish. Work experience in services for people with intellectual disabilities is considered an advantage.
