Domain Architect – Core Banking, Payments & Lending We are looking for an experienced Domain Architect to strengthen our banking architecture capabilities and customer engagements. In this role, you will lead architecture across one or more key banking domains, with a focus on core banking, payments and/or lending. You will combine deep banking expertise with strategic architecture leadership, acting as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders. Working closely with customers, CGI account and delivery teams, solution architects, business analysts and application specialists, you will ensure that business objectives, technology decisions and delivery plans are aligned. You will help shape future banking platforms, application portfolios, integrations and data-driven capabilities, including AI, while contributing both to customer-specific architecture initiatives and the continuous development of CGI's banking architecture capabilities. Key responsibilities: Lead domain architecture for core banking, payments and/or lending. Define target architectures, transition roadmaps and architecture principles. Guide the modernization of banking applications, legacy platforms and integration capabilities. Support solution design for bids, proposals and delivery projects. Translate business strategy into executable architecture roadmaps. Ensure alignment across enterprise, solution, integration, data, cloud and security architectures. Review solution quality, feasibility and delivery approaches. Lead architecture reviews and support governance and decision-making. Ensure regulatory, security, resilience, data protection and risk requirements are addressed. Identify opportunities to leverage data, automation, AI and cloud technologies. Contribute to CGI's banking architecture methods, reusable assets and best practices. Core domain focus areas The role focuses on architecture in one or more of the following domains: Core Banking Customer and account master data Deposits, accounts and balances Product and pricing management Transaction processing Platform integration Payments Domestic and international payments Instant and real-time payments Payment hubs and orchestration Cards, account-to-account payments and open banking Payment messaging standards Fraud prevention, monitoring and operational resilience Lending Loan origination and servicing Credit decisioning and lifecycle management Collateral, guarantees and risk data Consumer, SME and corporate lending Lending platform modernization Integration with risk, finance, reporting and customer channels What we expect from you We are looking for someone with: Strong experience in the banking or financial services industry. Practical architecture experience in core banking, payments and/or lending, with a background in enterprise, domain, solution or integration architecture in complex IT environments. Strong understanding of banking application landscapes, modernization and application portfolio transformation. Experience in defining architecture roadmaps and aligning business strategy, regulatory requirements and technology delivery. Strong integration architecture skills, including APIs, event-driven architecture, microservices, batch and real-time integrations, as well as cloud and AI-enabled solutions. Good understanding of cloud platforms, data management, information security and AI opportunities in banking. Experience leading architecture in transformation programs or large delivery initiatives. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to produce clear architecture documentation and executive-level recommendations. Professional working proficiency in both Finnish and English. The following experience is considered an advantage: Experience with core banking, payments or lending platforms and packaged banking solutions. Knowledge of banking regulations and standards, such as PSD2/PSD3, DORA, GDPR, AML/KYC and EBA guidelines. Experience with modern architecture approaches, such as domain-driven design, composable architecture, event streaming and cloud-native or hybrid cloud architectures. Experience applying AI, analytics or automation to banking processes. Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, SAFe or similar. Experience in bid support, presales, solution shaping and effort estimation.
