Home Care Assistant

Lähihoitaja positions in Päijät-Häme (Lahti area) for free-time substitute roles in private homes under the Päijät-Häme wellbeing catchment area. The job involves providing care to elderly and adults with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities, in client homes. You will work as an on-call substitute for approved absences; assignments can vary from 2 to 4 hours per shift, 1–2 times per week. Shifts run on weekdays between 07:00–21:00 and Saturdays 08:00–18:00, primarily in our clients’ homes and their surroundings (outdoors, in shops, etc.). You choose your assignments based on your competence and experience. We provide thorough onboarding. Responsibilities include supporting families and ensuring the well-being of clients during statutory leave periods. Requirements include an appropriate Lähihhoitaja or equivalent social and healthcare qualification, experience with elderly, disabled or other special-needs clients, good communication and interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, ability to work independently, and owning a car and driving license is a plus.
