About the role

Aalto University Corporate Relations is responsible for coordinating the university’s collaboration with companies and organizations. We serve as a single point of contact for companies and help them find the right experts and partners at Aalto. We manage key partnerships and advance them in close cooperation with Aalto’s leadership, academic staff, and company partners. We develop and offer collaboration models for companies in research, innovation, and talent. We are currently developing services that specifically support our students’ employment, in collaboration with companies and Aalto’s schools. We are now looking for a Corporate Relation Manager Do you want to do meaningful work and enhance our students’ employment? Are you excited about expanding partnership networks and designing new services? If employer networks are at the core of your expertise and you know the business landscape – from multinational corporations to SMEs and growth startups – join our development project to strengthen our collaboration networks and build new services within our employer services function. This is a full-time, two year fixed-term position in a development project for employer collaboration and student employment. Your role and goals In this role, you will develop and coordinate our collaboration with employer companies and organizations. You will diversify our service and event offering and expand our partner network. You develop and promote solutions that broaden our students’ possibilities to find internships and thesis positions. We aim to develop services in a customer-centric way together with a broad network of stakeholders, including Aalto Schools and employers, so flexibility and motivation for co-creation are essential. Your key responsibilities will be to: - Strengthen Aalto University’s employer network across industries, from corporations to SMEs and growth startups and public sector organisations - Develop and pilot collaboration models and service concepts that support networking between companies and students and promote students’ employment - Broaden stakeholder relationships and build new network partnerships - Plan and deliver company meetings, workshops, and presentations to engage current and prospective employer partners - Develop and maintain contact database (CRM) in collaboration with other account managers - Actively handle customer service and inquiries related to our employer services You will be part of Aalto University’s Corporate Relations unit, with a line manager and close colleagues to support you. In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with other Aalto teams, such as the Career Design Lab, which leads student and school collaboration. To excel in this role, you should have: - A master’s degree in a relevant field - Experience in building and managing partnerships and partner networks, and co-developing new services with potential partners - Experience in service design, marketing and student recruitment as part of an HR organization is considered an asset - Insight into changes in working life and future skills needs - Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, and the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders across the university community, companies, and the public sector - A goal-oriented, hands-on approach; readiness for varied tasks; and the ability to drive initiatives from ideas to implementation - Fluency in Finnish and English What we offer - A unique vantage point into the diverse field of industry collaboration and stakeholder relations in an academic environment - Strong support from Aalto’s Corporate Relations team and an open, collegial, and proactive work culture - Background support from a broad network of academic staff and other university service units - We offer good health and wellbeing staff benefits, and opportunities for professional development - An inspiring work environment on the evolving Otaniemi campus with excellent transport connections (e.g., metro, Jokeri Light Rail)
