The Imatra Parish is seeking a summer worker in child and youth ministry for a fixed-term public-service employment relationship from 24 May to 23 July 2027, or as agreed. Your duties include taking part in two confirmation camps and junior youth camping trips. In addition, as needed, you will participate in youth summer activities, family activities, events and other parish education work. We work together, and you will become part of an enthusiastic and skilled team where everyone’s contribution is valued. We are looking for someone who enjoys spending time with children and young people, confidently takes on different tasks, works naturally as part of a team and is ready to take part in the lively everyday life of camps. We hope you are flexible and self-motivated. We value education or studies in church education or theology. Another church employee with strong experience in educational work and camp activities may also be the person we are looking for. Above all, we are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible employee who cares about the parish’s educational work and wants to help build safe and memorable experiences for children and young people. It is an advantage if you can also participate in weekend camps in early winter, considering the confirmation-school programme as a whole. The successful candidate must be a confirmed member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. Before taking up the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract under section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act. Pay is based on demandingness group 401 of the KirVESTES collective agreement, with a minimum salary of €2,397.44 per month. The final salary is determined by education and level of competence. The work has no fixed working hours. Send your application and CV by 18:00 on Sunday, 8 November 2026 to Pirjo Tiippana, Director of Parish Education, by email. Interviews will be held during November.
