System Engineer, Power Distribution

We are seeking a new System Engineer for VEO's design unit. With our strong growth, we offer a great opportunity to join our energetic team and participate in interesting and diverse design projects. At VEO, you will build your expertise and learn new things, whether you are an experienced professional or starting your career as an electrical engineer. In this role, you will work on secondary design of electrical substation projects. You will be responsible for the design of control and protection systems as well as the DC and AC systems of substations. Your tasks also include dimensioning calculations, cable design, and preparing project design documentation. You will mainly use Eplan and AutoCAD software for design work. You will collaborate closely with lead designers, project managers, and clients to ensure that the technical solutions meet customer requirements, design standards, and project schedules. You will participate in defining technical solutions and support the smooth implementation of projects. Based on your experience and interest, you may also participate in primary design and commissioning of substations in Finland and other Nordic countries. As an experienced expert, you will take responsibility for demanding technical entities, while as an aspiring designer, you will be supported by an experienced team and have the opportunity to develop your skills towards more demanding expert and primary design tasks. This is a permanent, full-time position. The main office is in Vaasa, but you can also work from our offices in Seinäjoki, Tampere, Paimio, or Rovaniemi. Additionally, we offer a flexible hybrid work model. The role involves occasional travel mainly within Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
