Class Teacher

The City of Vantaa is seeking a Class Teacher to serve as a music class teacher at Martinlaakso School. Martinlaakso School is a comprehensive school for grades 1-9 with approximately 1,000 students and 130 staff members. The school operates in a modern building with up-to-date teaching equipment and a diverse surrounding environment that supports learning and movement. The school aims to be a pedagogically unified comprehensive school where learners of different ages meet. The role involves planning and implementing teaching that accommodates learners of different levels, utilizing diverse teaching methods. The candidate must be committed to the ProKoulu operating model, which focuses on common goals and positive feedback to guide student behavior. Key requirements include multicultural sensitivity, the ability to support students from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds (including S2 needs), and strong interaction skills to build trust with students and guardians. The role requires flexibility, a solution-oriented approach, and a commitment to the holistic support of students' well-being. Vantaa offers modern learning spaces, teacher mentors for new staff, and a supportive community. A monthly salary supplement of approximately 250 EUR may be paid to qualified staff based on the number of S2 students.
