Are you a land use expert with knowledge of environmental issues? Are you looking for a versatile role where you can work practically in cooperation with different stakeholders? About the position We are looking for a Land Use and Environmental Coordinator to join our environmental team. In your work, you will coordinate obligations and agreements related to land use and environmental issues of hydropower production in Finland. You will be responsible, among other things, for drafting land-use statements, permits and agreements, as well as permit obligations related to properties in cooperation with colleagues. In this position, you will act as a local and independent expert and manage land-use matters comprehensively. You will be active and meet various stakeholders, such as municipal representatives, authorities, property owners and local people. You will work closely with Fortum's colleagues working in Finland. The position offers an opportunity to expand your network and deepen your expertise, for example, in ecology and water regulation. Depending on your expertise, the work may also include other tasks related to land use and the environment of renewable energy production. You will be part of developing sustainable hydropower production. About you You are cooperative, have good interaction skills and enjoy being with different people. You work independently and persistently, and function smoothly both in an independent role and in teamwork. You have a suitable education, for example from the field of land use, environment or energy, or equivalent work experience. You can be a recent graduate or have work experience from a suitable field. Preferably, you have experience in land-use matters; knowledge of environmental, water or land-use legislation and experience in customer service are considered an advantage. You master the Finnish language excellently and are able to work in English. Knowledge of geographic information software is considered an advantage. Success in the position requires good interaction and cooperation skills. The work requires travel mainly in the Oulujoki water area, and you must have your own car available.
