Wilderness Guide

Do you enjoy nature, get along with tourists and are you the kind of person who can turn your hand to a bit of everything? We are seeking a wilderness guide for our client in Kuusamo for the coming winter season. The days in this job may not look the same: at times you will be outdoors leading activities, at times looking after customers and, when needed, taking on other tasks as well. Above all, we are looking for an energetic, versatile worker who knows how to move around in nature, can take care of a group and is able to work safely in winter conditions. We expect you to have: - Experience in wilderness guiding, nature-related work or similar tasks - Strong outdoor skills - Good customer-service and group-management skills - Strong English skills; other languages are a plus, as customers are mainly international - Initiative and readiness to take on a variety of tasks - Flexibility for the season’s changing days and working hours We consider the following an advantage: - Knowledge and experience related to handling, caring for or working with reindeer - Experience guiding international travellers We offer you: - Full-time work and full working hours throughout the winter season - Varied tasks in Kuusamo’s beautiful scenery - The opportunity to work with international customers - Negotiable pay The most important thing in this job is that you can keep both the customers and the situation under control—and preferably do so with a positive attitude.
