We are looking for two midwives for permanent employment at the HUS Jorvi ward building in Espoo. As a midwife, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Our midwifery work is guided by family-centeredness and customer-orientation. We develop our operations in the spirit of Lean and also act as a teaching hospital. Information about your future workplace: Over 5,500 children are born annually at the Jorvi maternity unit. In our maternity unit, both healthy and high-risk mothers are treated. Work is done in a multidisciplinary team, with strong professional skills, always respecting the mother. In addition, our maternity unit has 2 operating rooms and a procedure room, as well as a 3-place family recovery room, which enables uninterrupted early contact between mother and newborn after birth. If you wish, you can train for the role of a family recovery room midwife. Our maternity unit also handles late pregnancy appointments such as overdue visits and induction of labor. Our midwives at the childbirth fear clinics treat patients with fear of childbirth in individual appointments, digital care paths and small groups. About 70 midwives work at the Jorvi maternity unit. We have invested in close supervision and emphasize a coaching approach in our supervisory work. The maternity unit employs a ward manager and two assistant ward managers. The position-specific salary is €3,418.41/month, plus possible experience and other bonuses. We follow the probation period according to the SOTE agreement. Eligibility requirements: Licensed midwife or licensed registered nurse and a specialist nursing degree in maternity care and gynecology.
