Sports Instructor

Hyvinkää Opisto is a community college maintained by the City of Hyvinkää, offering diverse opportunities for learning, hobbies, and self-development for adults of all ages. The college offers studies in subjects such as languages, crafts, visual arts, music, sports, IT, wellbeing, and other cultural and hobby subjects. We offer approximately 450 different courses and short-term training annually. We are seeking an hourly teacher for the instruction of sports groups and family sports (children and adults together) for Hyvinkää Opisto. We hope for experience in instructing adult and children's sports groups or solid experience in sports instruction. Courses start in week 36, with 12 weeks in the autumn and 12 weeks in the spring of 2027. Facilities are reserved for these lessons, and unfortunately, there is little flexibility in dates or schedules. Total of 14-17 groups per week. We are currently looking for a sports instructor / sports counselor / dance teacher for the following courses starting in the autumn: - Family Sports A, 3-4 year olds. Mon 31.8.-12.4. 16.15-17.00 (Paavola) - Family Sports B, 4-5 year olds. Mon 31.8.-12.4. 17.00-17.45 (Paavola) - Family Sports C, 5-6 year olds. Mon 17.45-18.30 (Paavola) - Family Sports D, 1.5-3 year olds. Fri 9.00-9.45 (Kipinä) - Family Sports E, 4 months-1.5 year olds. Fri 9.45-10.30 (Kipinä) - Family Sports / mother-baby pilates. Fri 10.30-11.15 (Kipinä) - Fitness circuit/functional training. Mon 31.8.-12.4. 18.40-19.55 (Paavola) - Functional muscle and strength training for seniors. Tue 1.9.-6.4. 9.30-10.45 (Villatehdas) - Body maintenance A. Thu 3.9.-1.4. 16.00-17.00 (Kipinä) - Body maintenance B. Thu 3.9.-1.4. 17.00-18.00 (Kipinä) Additionally, we are looking for instructors for: - Twerk basics. Mon 31.8.-12.4. 18.00-19.00 (Villatehdas) - Twerk open. Mon 31.8.-12.4. 19.00-20.00 (Villatehdas) - Independent gym training for working-age adults. Tue 1.9.-27.4. Approximately every other week (Lepovilla) Section 18: Qualifications of a teacher of non-formal adult education According to the Act on Non-formal Adult Education, a qualified teacher is a person who has a suitable higher education degree and pedagogical teacher studies covering at least 60 ECTS credits (or at least 35 study weeks). In the absence of qualified applicants, those with training as a sports instructor, sports counselor, etc., will also be considered. The terms of employment are determined by the municipal teaching staff's official and collective agreement (OVTES).
