Good cooperation skills are emphasized in this role, as you will work closely with school staff, guardians, and various partners. Your workdays include, among other things: - Meeting and supporting young people during the school day - Grouping and strengthening community spirit - Planning and implementing small group activities - Cooperation with school staff, guardians, your own team, and networks - Promoting the participation and equality of young people - Outreach during evening and night hours on streets and in shopping centers - Camp and trip activities - Various planning and reporting tasks Our team consists of nine school youth workers and two project workers for an equality project. The primary frameworks for our work are sections 2–4 of the national core curriculum for basic education and the professional ethical guidelines for youth work. The working language is Finnish, but we value broad language skills. The position is located at Länsimäki Upper Secondary School. A substitute may also be hired for the period 8.9.26-31.12.2026 at Lehtikuusi School. We use video interviews as part of the recruitment. Actual interviewees will be selected based on the video interviews. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 19.8 at 8:00 and 9:00, and Friday 21.8 at 12:30, 13:30, and 15:00.
