Design Engineer

We are looking for you, Senior Design Engineer, Material (Valve specialist) to our Investment Project Delivery team in Porvoo. You will focus on valve related tasks in the investment projects. In this job you will work closely with maintenance and operations organizations to improve operability and ensure availability of the plants. Working closely with project teams as an essential support in valve engineering contributes to project success in quality and schedule. You will also cooperate with vendors and subcontractors verifying compliance of product requirements. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward. The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. More about the job Your role in our team - Participate in several project phases, such as study, basic engineering and execution - Define technical requirements of valves - Select of correct type of valves in specific process conditions - Support engineering disciplines in various design tasks e.g. preparing purchase requisitions - Act as a technical expert in purchase negotiations and factory auditioning - Provide support to inspection and expediting during manufacturing of equipment Keys to success in this role - M.Sc/B.Sc in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering - Experience of valve selection and fabrication - Fluent English, both written and spoken; Finnish skills are an advantage - Experience in valve life cycle management - Experience in refinery environment We also value - Know how in NDE techniques - Fabrication knowledge - Experience and understanding of safety valves Let’s get started We look forward to receiving your CV and application by August 23, 2026.
