Simulation Expert - Semiconductor Processes and Materials

To strengthen our development center in Espoo, Finland, we are looking for simulation experts with a passion for semiconductor processes and innovation. As a Simulation Expert, you will work on the modelling and simulation of semiconductor manufacturing processes, with a focus on plasma patterning and deposition. You will apply atomistic and continuum approaches, combining them to understand and optimize process behavior. The role offers the opportunity to shape simulation-driven development in an evolving environment, requiring initiative, ownership, and independent topic development, as well as active cross-functional networking. Process Simulation & Modelling: Multi-scale simulation of plasma and deposition processes. Methods: Combine atomistic, continuum, analytical, and machine learning approaches. From Research to Industrialization: Understand plasma–surface interactions and thin-film growth and translate insights into process improvements. Support transfer to high-volume manufacturing to enhance yield and reduce costs. Validation: Align simulations with experimental data from semiconductor wafers. Collaboration: Build a strong internal network and work across cooperate research, development and production. Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with research partners and vendors.
