We operate in the area of SSAB Europe Oy's Raahe steel plant as well as in various earthworks sites across Finland. We are pleased to have established ourselves as a reliable operator and currently provide employment for approximately 200 employees, staff, and subcontractors. Our fleet is very extensive, consisting of 120 units, including trucks, earthmoving trucks, slag transport vehicles, earthmoving machinery, forklifts, container handlers, wheeled loaders, crushing and screening equipment, and other specialized equipment. We are now seeking a HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC for our workshop. Are you an experienced heavy equipment mechanic interested in versatile maintenance and repair tasks? We are looking for a brisk and precise heavy equipment mechanic for a permanent position in shift maintenance at our own workshop in Raahe. In this role, you will work with a wide variety of heavy machinery and ensure their reliable operation. You work independently and have a safe and responsible approach to your work. We value good teamwork skills. Work is performed in continuous 2-shift rotation (12-hour working day). Job description: - Maintenance and repair of heavy equipment - Troubleshooting and repairing faults (including hydraulics/electrics) - Repair welding (skill considered an advantage) - Implementation of maintenance plans We expect from the applicant: - Suitable education and several years of work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic - Good technical expertise and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and in a team - Safety-oriented mindset in all work phases - Readiness for shift work We have a good and fair working atmosphere – but always with safety and quality service first.
