Class Teacher

The City of Vantaa is seeking a Class Teacher to serve as a music class teacher at Martinlaakso School. Martinlaakso School is a comprehensive school for grades 1-9 with approximately 1,000 students and 130 staff members. The school operates in a modern building with up-to-date teaching equipment and a diverse surrounding environment that supports learning and movement. The school aims to be a pedagogically unified comprehensive school where learners of different ages meet. The role involves implementing the ProKoulu operating model, which focuses on common goals and methods for guiding student behavior through positive feedback. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing differentiated instruction for learners of various levels, utilizing diverse teaching methods, and demonstrating multicultural sensitivity to support students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, including S2 (Finnish as a second language) needs. The teacher is expected to build trusting relationships with students and guardians, work actively within a team, and support students' overall well-being.
