Practical Nurse

Kotikarpalo is a 32-place unit for 24-hour assisted living and community housing for the elderly. The 24-hour assisted living consists of three group homes with nine clients each, and there are also five apartments for community housing clients in the same building. As a practical nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary and skilled staff, which includes the unit manager, a responsible nurse, registered nurses, practical nurses, home care nurses, and care assistants. Together, you will create a safe, meaningful, and individual daily life for the clients. In your work, you will be responsible for the daily care and nursing of clients, the administration of medication, and supporting the clients' functional capacity, participation, and well-being with a rehabilitative approach. You will enable cultural and hobby activities for clients and collaborate with relatives and other parties involved in the client's care. You will participate in the planning, evaluation, documentation, and reporting of nursing work. After orientation, you will have the opportunity to serve as the shift nurse in charge. The practical nurse's work is three-shift work and consists of nursing care for clients in both 24-hour assisted living and community housing. What we expect from you We value RAI expertise, a valid LOVe medication permit, and experience in the care of the elderly and those with memory diseases. The position requires good Finnish language skills. Eligibility requirements include a relevant vocational qualification in social and health care or another equivalent degree, or previous school-level education, as well as valid registration in the JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
