We are seeking a fixed-term social guidance counselor for client work with families with children in the Soihtu team at the Raisio office. Your Role Guidance and counseling in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, as well as service need assessments and child welfare need assessments, are carried out in Varha's regional Soihtu teams. Soihtu teams serve families with children and adults under 65. In multidisciplinary teams, social care and healthcare professionals map the client's situation together with the client and guide them to the correct services. The teams receive contacts and notifications in accordance with the Social Welfare Act, child welfare notifications, and preventive child welfare notifications. As a social guidance counselor, you will be responsible, together with a social worker, for the urgency assessment and processing of contacts regarding Social Welfare Act and child welfare notifications. Your work includes conducting service need assessments. Assessments are primarily carried out as pair work, but the role also includes independent work. Your workplace is located in Raisio, and client work is conducted in family services in the areas of Raisio, Rusko, Naantali, Masku, Mynämäki, and Nousiainen. The eligibility requirement is a Bachelor of Social Services (Sosionomi AMK) or an equivalent previous degree. Language requirements include good Finnish skills and satisfactory Swedish skills.
