EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for our enthusiastic and skilled work community at Röykä Day Care in Nurmijärvi. You will work in a workplace where the SAK-time (staffing ratio) is implemented, personnel resources are sufficient, and support arrangements for children are handled with strong expertise. Additionally, we ensure that you have enough time for preparing children's individual education plans (VASU), discussions, and documentation. We are seeking an early childhood education teacher for a permanent employment contract starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Röykä Day Care is located in a nature-adjacent area in the municipality of Nurmijärvi. In our day care, we emphasize individual attention to the child, the importance of play, and community. We provide high-quality early childhood education and pre-primary education, where the child's well-being and the joy of learning are central. Additionally, the day care has a recently renovated large yard, providing versatile opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise throughout the year. We employ skilled and committed staff who care for the children's well-being and create a warm and safe atmosphere. The eligibility requirement for the position is qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), taking into account transitional provisions. Graduating early childhood education teachers will also be considered. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the position. If necessary, the selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act on the Disclosure of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and a tuberculosis clearance. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the municipal sector's teaching staff official and collective agreement (OVTES section G). The position-specific salary is 3,165.78–3,273.00 euros per month. Additionally, a work experience supplement may be paid based on previous experience. The work experience supplement according to OVTES section G is 3% or 8% of the position-specific salary, depending on relevant experience. The application period ends August 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
