Service Coordinator

VAKE is seeking a development-oriented Service Coordinator for the youth team within the disability client guidance unit for a fixed-term position from August 19, 2026, to January 3, 2027. The role focuses on assessing service needs and decision-making for disabled clients aged 16-34 in Vantaa and Kerava. As a Service Coordinator, you will evaluate service needs, create service plans, and make decisions on whether requested services can be granted according to current legislation. The work involves getting to know the client's situation, extensive network cooperation, and working with clients' relatives. In addition to office work, the role includes home visits and remote meetings. Client work is conducted based on the 'own-work' principle, utilizing pair and team work. The position requires an independent and solution-oriented approach, good interaction skills, and proficiency in Finnish (oral and written). Experience in disability social work, the Apotti client information system, and familiarity with guiding laws are considered an advantage. The work community consists of teams for counseling, children, youth, adults, housing, and mobility support, comprising service coordinators, special social guides, and social workers. The workplace is flexibly located at either Myyrmäen Virtatalo or in Kerava.
