Road Lighting Electrician

The role involves maintenance and upkeep of road lighting installations, primarily traveling across Central Finland and potentially Savon regions. Typical shift pattern is 8 hours per day (Mon–Fri) with an option for 10 hours (Mon–Thu) by agreement. Responsibilities include replacing lamp components, fault finding, area patrols and maintenance rounds, pole replacements, and repairing underground and overhead cables. Work is performed mainly from a bucket truck and may include work at heights. Occasional evening and night work. The position is permanent and starts immediately upon contract. Tasks are carried out from Jyväskylä but cover Central Finland and Savonia; travel is an inherent part of the role. To be successful, you should have: at least an electrician's basic qualification; at least 1 year of experience in electrical installation or maintenance with the ability to perform basic wiring, measurements and read electrical diagrams; at least a category C driving license; no fear of heights (work at heights typically up to 10–18 m); good physical condition. Desirable: experience in road/street lighting tasks (lamp replacements, collision repairs, lamp maintenance, bulb changes); experience in construction/maintenance of electrical networks; operation of a small excavator (2 tons).
