Job Description

We are seeking a Customer and Communications Director at DigiHelsinki to oversee the management, development, and implementation of customer and communication activities. The role combines customer development, communication management, and the ability to build effective collaboration models with various stakeholders. DigiHelsinki is still in the construction and development phase, offering an opportunity to genuinely shape new operational methods and influence the organization’s direction. You will naturally take on different levels of responsibility, as the role requires strategic insight as well as practical involvement and a hands-on approach working with the team. As a member of DigiHelsinki’s management team, you will lead the customer and communication team, which includes a communications manager, a communications specialist, and three account managers. Your responsibilities include: Leading customer and communication functions and clarifying operational practices Developing customer relationships, customer cooperation, and stakeholder relations Strengthening customer understanding Coordinating and developing internal and external communications Developing employer branding and visibility in collaboration with HR Developing websites, content, and communication channels Supporting leadership communication and organizational change communication Collaborating with the City of Helsinki and other key stakeholders You will succeed if you have: Experience in leading customer, communication, and stakeholder cooperation, preferably in ICT or service business Ability to lead multiple entities practically and goal-oriented An execution-oriented and developmental work style, with enthusiasm for developing the organization and its operations Ability to build cooperation and trust among different actors Experience in leading an expert team Confident presentation skills in personnel, customer, and stakeholder events Good prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to implement plans effectively Active approach to developing your own skills and work Fluent Finnish and English skills; Swedish language skills are an advantage Suitable higher university degree.
