About the role As a Lead Control Engineer, you will design and implement control features for large-scale grid integration projects. You will bridge the gap between theoretical design and real-world application through laboratory testing and onsite commissioning. Work tasks This role involves end-to-end responsibility for control system implementation, from initial design and simulation to onsite commissioning and R&D. - Design control systems for high-power reactive power compensators. - Produce high-quality study documents and technical specifications. - Plan and execute control and protection testing in laboratory environments. - Manage system energizing and onsite commissioning of compensators. - Participate in technical negotiations with end customers and stakeholders. - Support technical tendering and equipment sourcing evaluations. - Conduct R&D activities to advance FACTS control system design. We are looking for - Advanced knowledge in Electrical Power Engineering. - Understanding of control theory for grid-connected devices. - Knowledge of compensation systems and power electronics. - Experience using simulation tools such as PSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, or RTDS. - Fluent written and oral English communication skills. - Have completed advanced academic studies in Power System Engineering or equivalent. It is meritorious if you have - Experience with PSSE simulation software. - Knowledge of STATCOM and SVC technologies. - Previous experience in technical negotiations with stakeholders. - Willingness to travel for onsite commissioning.
