Job Description
Kaleva Media is a media company that boldly develops its operating models. In this role as Head of Digital Growth, attitude is key: we are looking for an enthusiastic, quick-moving, and analytical individual who may have experience in digital work environments and business, even from different industries. In your work, you will be responsible for the most critical moments of new digital subscriber customer journeys, specifically the first 90 days. As Head of Digital Growth, you will own the early customer phase (onboarding and activation) and related prioritization. Most of your time will be spent understanding and analyzing data, and translating insights into practical actions and new experiments. You will join a multidisciplinary digital growth team. Your colleagues will include a digital business manager, automation specialist, product owner, and marketing professionals. You will share a common backlog, and your work will be guided by a strong growth hacking mindset and continuous improvement of customer acquisition. Kaleva Media's headquarters are located in Oulu. Your presence at the office is especially important during onboarding to integrate into the team and tasks. After onboarding, good remote work opportunities are available within Kaleva Media's hybrid model, and you are also always welcome to work from the Seinäjoki office. Responsibilities In your role, you will focus particularly on what happens to the customer after the purchase order, ensuring systematic growth through data and experiments. - Ownership of the early customer phase (0–90 days): Responsible for the onboarding and activation of new subscribers. Identify and eliminate discontinuity points in the customer journey (comprehensive review of touchpoints) and develop early measures to prevent cancellations. - Culture of experimentation and A/B testing: Conduct systematic testing and experiments during the early customer phase. Make data-driven decisions on what to test, stop, and scale. - Content utilization: Define how both journalistic and non-journalistic content (e.g., games, training, value-added content) can be most effectively used as a retention driver. - Productization and campaign experiments: Define and prioritize quick experiments and present them, targeting the right audience with the right message in collaboration with the digital business manager. - Data and metrics: Define key metrics (e.g., activation rate). Analyze data and draw conclusions using appropriate methods to ensure data truly guides decision-making. We are looking for a person with - Experience and strong understanding of digital consumer business and subscription-based models. - Ability to seamlessly connect data, content, and business into an understandable whole. Deep understanding of numerical data. - Enthusiastic attitude: willing to make decisions, prioritize tasks, and drive projects to completion. - Growth mindset and desire to build new through experiments. - Fluent Finnish and English skills. It is an advantage if you have previous experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud / Data Cloud environments or Tableau skills. These are not requirements but tools we can familiarize you with! Additional Information - Start: August. Please note that we will conduct the recruitment process during June. - Duration: Permanent, direct recruitment to Kaleva Media. - Location: Flexible hybrid model. Kaleva Media's headquarters are in Oulu (Kirkkokatu 31), where presence is especially important during the initial phase for team integration.
